Art Denomme
Art Denomme is an unlikely compiler of his family
history. He started out by doing just a "little research"
to try and uncover who his great-grandfather was. Many years later, he
is still collecting names, dates and places to add to his
database.
This database of information was published in 2005. And yes, the book "Denomme
- 400 years of family" contains the information on his great-grandfather,
as well as many others.
Art is retired from Cambrian College where he worked as a Computer
Network Support Technologist in the College's Employment Options program. He worked
out of three campuses in the Sudbury area - Val Caron, Little Current and Espanola. Employment Options is an Ontario Government initiative that assists those who are unemployed
find
jobs.
Art
graduated from Cambrian's Audio Visual Technology Program in 1975 and
worked for the college from 1975 until 2013. During his years at
the college, he worked as an Employment Consultant with the Job
Connect
and Futures program, an Employment Consultant with jobsOntario Training,
a Photography Instructor, a Media Production
Technologist
in
the College's Audio Visual Centre and as a Support Technologist to the
Audio Visual Program.
Born Arthur Joseph Denomme in Sudbury,
Ontario, he is the son of Alcide Joseph Denomme and Edith
May Cornthwaite (both predeceased).
Art is married to Pauline Prévost (his first wife, Denise Chretien passed away in March 2010) and has a son, Adam Joseph Denomme, married to Julie Lemoyne, a grandson, Addison and a granddaughter, Anabelle.
Art lives in Val Caron, Ontario, which is just a few kilometres
north of Sudbury.
